Grades 3-8 participate within SEPYLA (Southeast Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association)
Division Overview:
K-2nd Grade
Objective:Introduce youngsters to the game of lacrosse and teach basic skills: throwing, catching, cradling and dodging. Program begins in April.
Time Commitment:1 to 2 days per week
3rd /4th Grade “C”
Objective:Continue to develop lacrosse fundamentals and game play. Practice begins in March, and games begin the first week of April.
Overview:LBL generally fields three or four “C” level teams that will play other SEPYLA programs and in house games. LBL makes every effort distribute players evenly among all teams combining seasoned and new players to aid new player development. Teams will typically play 8-12 games during the season.
Time Commitment:2 practices per week with games generally on Sunday.
5th /6th Grade “B”
Objective:Continue to develop lacrosse fundamentals and game play. Players are divided by skill set. Practice begins in March and games begin the first week of April.
Overview:LBL generally fields four or five “B” level teams: One B1, two B2, and two B3.“B” level is divided into three categories:
B1 Highest level of competition and competes in SEPYLA playoffs and several lacrosse tournaments during the course of the season (March –Mid June). Players are expected to make lacrosse their number one sport in the spring due to the increased time commitment. Open try-outs are generally held in February.
B2 Experienced players will play other SEPLA B2 Clubs
B3 Beginners / Novice will play other SEPLA B3 Clubs
Time Commitment:2 practices per week with games generally on Sunday.
7th /8th Grade “A”
Objective:Continue to develop lacrosse fundamentals and preparation for High School. Boys are divided by skill set.
Overview:LBL generally fields four or five “A” level teams: One A1, A2 8th, A2 7th, A3 8th , A3 7th.“A” level is divided into three categories:
A1 Highest level of competition and competes in SEPYLA playoffs and several lacrosse tournaments during the course of the season (March –Mid June). Players are expected to make lacrosse their number one sport in the spring due to the increased time commitment. Open try-outs are generally held in February.
A2 Experienced players will play other SEPLA A2 Clubs
A3 Beginners / Novice will play other SEPLA B3 Clubs
Time Commitment:2 practices per week with games generally on Saturday.
